I always get asked - what are the best baby socks that don't fall down and off little feet really quickly? Unfortunately it's the nature of little feet to push socks off and be constantly wriggling around, so the answer is 'sorry, there is no such thing,' to my knowledge, anyway (you can use these sock ons to help keep them on but they aren't for everyones taste). We were given some Petites Pattes socks as a gift when Violet was born and she has lived in them.
They are fun, colourful, playful, comfortable and so far I have found them to stay on pretty well, especially if you pull them up over leggings where they have something to grip onto. As you can see they have been a wardrobe staple in our milestone pictures of V...
We love the little emotional faces the best but they also do some other cool designs with stripes and 3D spots too. I like the way some of the socks almost make the baby look like they are wearing little leg warmers.
Petites Pattes was set up by Win, yes, what a nice change - a man! Just after he graduated from his Central St. Martins Graphic Design degree he found out he was going to be an Uncle. Coupled with the excitement of becoming an uncle for the first time he had the urge to make his nephew something. He got in touch with a Thai sock manufacturer who he knew from an old sourcing job and things took off from there. He is now well and truly immersed in the world of babies and children. Petites Pattes make baby hosiery focussing mainly on socks but they have also started making fun tights too.
Petites Pattes use the best cotton yarns to ensure the comfort of a baby's delicate skin and work directly with a high quality hosiery manufacturer in Thailand. By introducing a different knitting technique they have been able to create a new range of products which eliminates the use of rubber, which at times can cause irritation around a baby's ankles. The socks come packaged up in the cutest little boxes and they really are the perfect new baby or baby shower gift. Also well priced for a gift at £12 for a box of three.
