With a slightly Autumnal feel in the air recently I took my first look at some of the Autumn styles slowly starting to hit the stores and websites. Here is my first AW19 edit, including dresses, boots, coats and tops that I have my eye on for the new Autumn season.
Midi, gingham, tiered, boho, floral and animal printed styles are top of my wishlist. Wear with sandals now and switch to ankle boots and a coat when the weather turns. Also remember you can layer jersey rollnecks under your existing summer dresses to make them last well into Autumn.
Coats & Jackets
Blazers are back in a big way. Otherwise classic cuts, checks and a welcome return to Barbour jackets. I love the feel of the classic coats coming through - all timeless and easy to wear with trainers or smart boots.
Knitwear, Tops & Dungarees
Yay to seeing lots of Peter pan collars and pretty neck detailing on tops coming through! Perfect to wear under dungarees too. Also stripes (aways) and pastel knits. A return to the traditional cardigan is also very much welcomed.
Easy and practical boots and trainers are Autumn essentials. There seem to be a fair few lace up Victorian style boots around which I like back with feminine midi dresses. Biker, western and knee high boots are also classics worth investing in and I will be pulling out my white boots again.
